Selfishness is the Devil’s tool to blind us to who we really are.
We have the freedom of choice to reject the option, but our finite mind lacks the understanding to realize the importance of the choice, and so defaults to selfish.
It is usually not wise to fly on automatic pilot. Life is not that safe…
