The basic philosophy of the Harvard Law School (and Harvard Business School and Harvard University) is that basic human nature is such that nothing in a universe dominated by humanity and human nature will ever work properly unless there is a
‘quid pro quo.’
Yale is a Divinity School so presumably the basic philosophy there would be different.
Books could be written, orations could be given, and endless thoughts thought about this, - but that is for other times.
