Free Will
Allowing freedom of the will to elevate the sex drive above an awareness and sincere appreciation of the opposite sex is a grievous error.
(This is not a gratuitous simplistic observation about David and Bathsheba.)
The Biblical terminology is:
To him/her that knows to do good and does it not - to them that is sin.”
